Florida Requires Homeowners' Associations to Try Mediation First As of July 1, 2007, Florida law requires associations to try mediation as an initial means of settling their legal disputes. In anticipation of this change in the law, Eric Glazer became one of the first attorneys in the state to be certified by the Florida Supreme Court as a circuit and county court mediator.
